I'm temporarily coming out of LiveJournal retirement to tell you that even though Al and the band had just finished touring a month ago, Al has just recently recorded a new song and is going to release it on iTunes NEXT WEEK!!!  October 7th to be exact.  Then two weeks after that, it'll be available at other fine digital download stores.

Last night, Max, in his cute little Hawaiian shirt, got to see his very first Weird Al concert.  Now normally taking an 8 month old to an Al show is probably not the best idea since the speakers can be VERY loud and lots of bright spotlights are flashing everywhere, but we were well prepared.  Niki had the foresight to purchase one of these Peltor ( Read more... )

Phew, done processing the pictures: Weird Al at Merrillville, IN

Wahoo! We finally got to see Al's show for the first time this tour. The show was amazing. And also amazing was the fact that the theater didn't mind cameras at all. According to WeirdAl.com, the Pittsburgh show has been moved to someplace called the Byham Theatre. Spread the word.

Some bad news to those going to the Weird Al concert at Pittsburgh, the venue that was supposed to be open by then just announced that it isn't. no idea if the concert will be relocated, rescheduled, or simply canceled. I assume that in the worst-case scenario, you'll be refunded your ticket. Will let ya know.
